Cruxshadows gig
Well, last night was worth the money and time it took to get to Coventry to see the gig
So, I went to Coventry, after umm-ing and ahh-ing about it for a while. Met Banshee and Yuki, and headed off. Got rained on, got to venue. Not open. Saw Odie and Neph and others. Got in, drank. Saw (amongst others) Rainbow, Flook, Sciamachy, Morph, Sweet_cyanide, GH0ST and Goth Pat. Support were ok, some drunk bloke (later to be named as David) kept trying to pull me, I ran away and told his friends (Blacklight, another David, Mike and Ross) and they then proceeded to spend the rest of the night sheltering me from him.
Only drunk two pints, as my body couldn't take any more due to the lack of food. Got upset at one point, as I realised that Zell wasn't going to be coming behind me and holding me like usual. Ross jumped down and hugged me and let me cry on his shoulder. Was a very nice feeling to be able to do that to a stranger. We then bounces on chairs and things, AND he picked me up *not many people able to do that* and we watched the Cruxshadows.
Couldn't see any of the band other than Rogue, due to here we were standing, and anyone that has seen the Cruxshadows will know why we could see Rogue. He was standing on anything that would take his weight, due to the ease of a head mic, and singing from all places in the room, bar, lighting box and tables. All in all, a fantastic performance. Two encores (from what I remember) and a lot of hand clapping and shouting. I want to see them every week! [Photos are here]
Just thinking, the lyrics to Elektra by Ultraviolence, I was going to post them a long time ago, but now they seem to be more poignant than ever. Oh well. Life must go on.

the gig was wickid, and my stay in cov was *interesting*, saying the least.
odie's new keeton is sweet and manic!
am now in london (just above london anyhoo) at chrisb's parents.
amazing the amount of cool people i know who i suddenly am able to find.
