Aug. 28th, 2002 09:03 pmThis place is strange. Really strange. I mean, TOTALLY strange. When it rains in England, it gets cold. Really cold. In Japan, it stays hot. Ugh I hate hot. Bring on the snow! I've got like 5 jumpers with me, and I can't use any of them!
I wouldn't reccomend this place so far. But I've only been here 2 days. There are hardly any Japanese students, I'm in the Seminar house for orientation, so there's no kitchen and I'm constantly hungry. Food is weird. I've eaten octopus and pockey, prawn crisps and drunk soo much ice tea and coffee I think I'm ill and I'm still jetlagged. I've met a couple of people I can talk to, but no real "friends". No-one I wouldn't think twice about following round (apart from us Igurisu-jins). Talking of us, there are NO other English people here at all. I'm the only English girl. Could be worse... I think. Us Igurisu-jin are having fun (well they are, I'm yet to get to a bar) and have our own weblog! (^_^) [Japanlog].
It rained today. Proper pissed it down. I had left my umbrella at the flat, as it was as nice as ever when I left. Will edit later, am off to my first pub!!
