Aug. 9th, 2005 09:03 amLast night was great!

Drop Dead Gorgeous - Most people had already seen this, but we all still laughed out loud, and forgot some of the jokes. Those who hadn't seen it before agreed that it was well worth watching, and not too girly. I can't help feeling that the end is a bit rushed, however.
We didn't get to watch Shimotsuma Monogatari, as it doesn't work on my dvd player, and my computer screen is too big for 8 of us to squeeze round, so we watched
My Wife is a Gangster - I was the only person who had seen this, and I was scared I thought it was great because I saw it in America, and was jaded with love for my Jhenn. Not true! This is an amazingly funny Korean film, while predictable, it has just enough violence [only minor, nothing like Casino] and character building to make the ending work. I would reccomend this to anyone that can sit through reading subtitles.
Next week:
Monster
A Tale of Two Sisters
