Kansai Gaidai

I've read on ilkhan3's journal that an Australian girl from KG has been killed by a drunk driver at the East Gate of the campus. Her family have gone there, but they are refusing to talk to any Japanese people.

There was Brandon Kobayashi's death while I was there, and now this. It's really sad to think of the sadness that one drunk driver has caused a family while their daughter was so far away. If I ever find out that any of my friends has driven while drunk, I will be very upset.

First things first

crispygoth came to visit us in Leeds last Wednesday. It was really nice to see him, and he handed back my umbrella that I'd left at the Wendyhouse in december. We really should see you more Chris!

Unfortunately we didn't get to talk to him much, as the cinema was showing Battle Royale as a one-off, and I'd been asked by several people if I wanted to see it. I ran the idea past tosspot our housemate, and we dragged Chris kicking and screaming to see it. It was a good film, and I kept jumping at parts. Needless to say I dreamed in Japanese that night. It was weird, I woke up more exhausted than when I went to sleep!

Working on my essays and presentations, so I'll update about the last week and a half as I get things done :)
