Lactose Intolerant?!
Apr. 13th, 2006 01:45 pmI'm currently working on starting the Waterfall Diet and am typing up the breakfast recipes into word so that I can easily see how much of each item I will need to get each week.
I have hit some realisations.
The book suggests that a lot of things are caused by a food allergy. My breathing could be one of them. Whem I worked at the Univeristy, one hateful individual suggested that I stopped sniffing and blew my nose instead. I have lived with allergies for all my life, and have worked out that I can blow and blow my nose until it's red and bleeding, yet it will never solve the problem. I bought some tissues, and kept them in my drawer, using them occasionally, but she was still not happy with me.
Since reading this book I have realised that it's probably a milk intolerance that is hurting me so much. I was drinking countless cups of tea with milk in at the University, because they didn't make good cups of black tea [which I prefer anyway] and recently I've been religiously having crunchy nut cornflakes for breakfast, with milk. I've been finding that my breathing is worse than ever, and I'm hoping that cutting out dairy may be the answer I am looking forward to.
Of course, if it isn't, then I will be celebrating with a milkshake.
