Yesterday lsass.exe tried to access the internet, and Zone Alarm told me. I looked it up, decided that it was safe because the exploit was old and I have windows update up to date, and allowed it.
Last night I heard my computer make the default warning beep repeatedly, but thought nothing of it as mIRC does that when it gets disconnected.
Today it has randomly restarted three times, each time accompanied by a lot of warning beeps and it automatically logs back into my username on the computer, which has no password but I still have to say 'login'.
I have disabled lsass.exe from getting access to the internet, I have checked it's not Isass.exe [capital i instead of an l] and I have run avg, spybot and adaware, all of which came up blank.
I hope this is something old and fixable rather than something new for which I have to wait for an update/fix. I'm getting fed up of aborting the shutdowns, and I'm not always here to do that!
Any advice?
