Sorry to hear things aren't working out for you. Are there any positions elsewhere in the Uni you could go for?

FWIW, if you really hate it there don't stick it out. I had bad vibes fairly early on in my last job, but stuck it out. I was there for 5 years before eventually leaving; after a while one just got worn down to the extent I doubted my self-worth.
