I'm a bit nervous today. I've not eaten yet but I'm going to go make lunch after I post this, I promise.

I just registered to donate blood. I'd not done it before because I'm a tattoo / piercing addict and I had my last tattoo / piercing session on 6/6/6 and I thought the waiting date was 12 months. It's apparently 6 so I want to do my bit before I get the next session on my tattoo done when I get my bonus soon.

They stop admitting people at 2.30, and I've got something to do at 5, so I'm wondering a. how long it takes and b. what will I do afterwards? I don't have much money so maybe I'll get a starbucks coffee and chill out with a book?

At 5.00 I'm meeting an old friend from High School, Tim. He wasn't what I'd call a 'friend' in high school, but he was one of the nicer lads and didn't pick on me [Hurrr, mosher] when the others did. We're meeting up for a beer in Carpe.

I'm understandably a bit nervous - I haven't seen the guy since that photo was taken, 2001. 6 years. I'm fatter, I'm more of a freak and I've not graduated and I don't do anything with my Japanese. Although I feel prettier than I was back then I don't know if I'm ready to see people that made fun of me. I just hope Tim's as nice now as his messages on myspace suggest. I don't think he'll do anything bad - as I said he was a nice guy - but there's always hesitation, you know?

Edit: I can't find my 'Kitchmas' eyeshadow. You know the one - it makes you look awesome but not like you made any effort. Shit.

It depends on you as to how long it takes, I think, not to get into squicky details. I can't remember too well but I think maybe an hour? And it sounds like a good idea to go and have a drink afterwards. Usually I'm fine but once I felt really light-headed and funny for hours.

It's really not bad at all, you don't need to worry.

As for your meeting, I hope it goes well! You're lovely, how could he fail to like you and be nice to you?

Just go along and be your wonderful self and there'll be no problems. If there are people out there who aren't going to take you for who you are and go with it then that's entirely their problem - not yours.

prob too late but for the first time it takes like an hour to go through all the paces, then other times it should be done in half hour, but it does depend, ive been in and out in 15 and ive been stuck there for ages (ive only given blood like 4 times i keep getting bloody mod too, but nm) but i try n take ppl a lot. the place should have somewhere for u to sit for a while, with biscuits and drinks, its not bad, not great but not bad.
