Today is 06/07/08 which is sequential - neat! This will happen only 11 times in a whole milennium.

01/02/03
02/03/04
03/04/05
04/05/06
05/06/07
06/07/08
07/08/09
08/09/10
09/10/11
10/11/12
11/12/13

Then it won't happen again until 3003. Weird, huh?

I remember being in school and in assemly when it was 19/9/1991 - they told us then that it wouldn't happen again in our lifetime, but what about 29/9/1992?

Then again it was St. Stephens. Not known for its common sense!

Are there any more funny dates like that that we'll see in our lifetimes?

19-9-1991 is palindromic (can be read the same forward and backwards), it would have needed to have been 29-9-2992 for your example to work. Not sure of other palindromic dates - will have a think!

Unless it was a leap year, there were not 29 days in Feb. of 1992. :)

Both of those are really cool :)

They're not as fun as the ones you posted, but 20/09/2009, 20/10/2010, 20/11/2011, and 20/12/2012 are somewhat neat. :)

Surely you mean 11 times per century (i.e. 110 times per millenium)?

eg, 01/02/03 will happen again in 2103, 2203, 2303...

:-)

I was at my old all-boys school on 7/7/77. For some inexplicable reason, the school bullies (of which there were many) deemed this to be a justification to go around hitting any junior boy they wanted to (of which there were also many, your humble scribe included).

Apparently this was "traditional", despite the oldest of the fist-wielders having still been in nursery school the previous time this happened (in 6/6/66).

I don't have many pleasant memories of my old school. :)
