a bit sad i won't get the chance to say hi properly before you leave, but oh well, i guess i'll just have to wait until you're back!! i hope you will have a fabulous time while you're over there.
When you get to Japan, throw yourself into every activity you can get into - don't give yourself time to feel homesick, just do oodles of stuff, get to your room & fall asleep exhausted, then get up & at 'em the next day. Make oodles of friends & keep your life full. I made the mistake of withdrawing when I was in France, and it's depressing as hell. Make IRC your last-ditch line of support, if all else fails, rather than a crutch to use the moment anything gets bad. Oh, and *hugs*. Enjoy! :-)
The thought of such a massive change is bound to be scary and freaky..but you have the strength to get through this bit and come out the other end, like people said above, I bet after a few weeks you'll be loving it. Make sure you give us your address, I might even write! *hugs* J xx
